An open source EnvKit alternative

Free like EnvKit. Open all the way down.

Flock is a free, open source alternative to EnvKit. It covers the same ground, .test domains with trusted HTTPS, a PHP per project, mail, dumps and AI agents, and adds Linux, FrankenPHP with Octane and public share links.

FAQ

Before you leave EnvKit.

Yes. Flock is free with no account and no paid tier, and it is open source too.

Flock picks the Node version per project from .nvmrc. Start npm run dev as usual, and Vite serves your assets for the .test site.

Reverb runs with php artisan reverb:start like on any machine, using Flock's PHP.
